Tyler Powell is entering his 2nd year as head coach for the American Eagles of the WPSL. In 2011 he lead the team to a 4^th place finish in the Big Sky-South in their inaugural year.  Tyler is also the current men's soccer coach at Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth, Texas.  In his first year, he took a 3-14 team to 11-6-2.  He also produced 5 All-Conference players, for the Rams, including the Defensive Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and 7 players of the week.  Powell came to Texas Wesleyan from Northwood University (TX) where he served as head women's soccer coach during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Powell led the Knights to an overall record of 26-9-1 and a perfect 15-0 in Red River Athletic Conference Play during his tenure. The Knights won back-to-back regular season RRAC Championships. In 2010, Northwood took the RRAC Tournament Championship, advanced to the NAIA National Tournament, and Powell was named RRAC Coach of the Year. Powell coached 12 All-Conference players, 7 players of the week, 2 NSCAA All-Region Players, 3 NAIA All-American Honorable Mentions, and the 2009 Player of the Year. In both seasons, his teams featured the conference Newcomer of the Year.  Powell's collegiate coaching career began in 2002 when he served as the men's lead assistant for the 20-2, National Champions, Richland College. He has had other collegiate coaching experience as an assistant with the St. Mary's University men and women's programs (2004-2005) as well as the head coach of the Eastfield College women's team. (2005-2006). Powell was an assistant coach at Ursuline Academy of Dallas from 2001-2003, where the team won two TAPPS 5A State Championships.

Powell has played 4 years of professional soccer in the USL and PASL and is currently a staff coach with North Texas Soccer.  Currently, Powell, holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF National "B" License, and a USSF Youth National License.  Tyler is married to is wife, Crystal, of 6 years and has a 4 year old son(Trent) and a 1 year old daughter(Camryn). 

Steve joined our Club in 2007 as an assistant coach. He's been involved in soccer either as a player or coach since 1984. He came up through the local select soccer programs and played in the Division 1 Dallas Classic League with some of the local nationally recognized clubs. Steve also enjoyed participating in the Dallas Cup five consecutive eligible years.  For three years of his early career, his team was runner-up in the State Cup.  In high school, he was a Four-Year-Letterman and as a freshman he received Newcomer of the Year for the area.  He was named to both the All District and All Area Teams for all four years.  For five years he was a player for the Olympic Development Program (ODP).  As part of ODP, he achieved recognition as a top player in the region and was named to Region III travel team where he traveled nationally and internationally competing with premier youth players and teams.  He was also named to the US National Pool.  After high school, he received a scholarship to play at Oklahoma City University and played there for two years earning Honorable Mention 2^nd All Conference Team. 

As a coach, Steve has been an assistant to Alex Schindler for 8 years.  He has coached with Dallas Inter Soccer Club, FC Dallas, and American Eagles. He has coached at all levels of youth development and with his experience, and knowledge of the game has helped many players move on as strong young adults and technically sound soccer players. He is the Chief Financial & Marketing Assistant with the Tornados and conducts his own Skills Lessons. He currently holds a Texas State "E" License.
