Playing Career

Victor joined our Club in July of 2002. He brings a rich and varied international background in soccer as a player, coach and broadcaster since 1974. He came up through the Argentinean youth program in his hometown of Tucuman and turned professional by age 17. He played for eight years as a professional in Argentina, including a year with one of the country’s top 1st Division teams, River Plate. He later played for two years in Mexico for Toros Neza of the 1st Division and Club Acapulco of Division A. After moving to the United States in 1994, he played for the Houston Hotshots of the CISL, the Texas Toros of the USISL, the WISL champion Dallas Sidekicks and the D-League Texas Rattlers (the Dallas Burn’s reserve team). He was a member of the broadcast teams for Univision during the France ’98 and Japan-South Korea ’02 World Cups and speaks five languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian and French.

 
Coaching Career

Victor began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Mexico Under-14 junior national team in 1994. He subsequently coached for a number of Dallas-area clubs: Arsenal, Club America, Crusader, Dallas Inter, United, Storm and Soccer America. He was the director of coaching for the Crusader Soccer Club in Highland Park from 1998-2000 and the director of coaching/clinics and camps for Soccer America from 2001-2002. He is the men’s and women’s head coach at Brookhaven College. Currently he coaches soccer and teaches Spanish at Fulton Academy in Rockwall. Victor attended the University of San Miguel de Tucuman in Argentina, where he received a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine. He serves on the scouting and player/coach evaluation staffs for U.S. Soccer’s National Olympic Development program, and is a North Texas Soccer staff coach and staff instructor. Victor currently holds a USSF “B” National coaching license, an Argentina National Youth license and the Argentina “A” National license.
