| Playing Career |

David joined our Club in May of 2001. He has been involved in soccer either as a player or coach since 1977. David grew up in Colleyville and played for N.E.T Longhorns and Fort Worth United. While playing at Grapevine High School, he won a State Championship. He was a 4-year starter and senior captain at St. Mary’s College. He also played semipro for the South Texas Eagles. Playing honors include North Texas State Pool, All-Region, All-State, State All-Star, and team MVP. |

Hoffmann is Head Men's Soccer Coach at the University of Dallas. At the college level he held a similar position as Head Soccer Coach at Schreiner University for four seasons where his men's team produced 3 consecutive Sectional Finals appearances and his women's team earned Schreiner's first ever Sectional bid. His college teams have produced 20 Academic All-Americans, the NSCAA award for the highest team GPA, and numerous player awards and professional tryouts. He was selected as the National Coach of the Year by the Association of Division 3 Independents. He was the Director of both Mountaineer Soccer Camps and Elite Soccer Camps. On the club level he founded the Highlanders Soccer Club in which he held DOC and master coach responsibilities from 1997-1999. In the year of 2000 he took over the role of DOC for the San Antonio Strikers Futbol Club, the largest men’s club soccer organization in San Antonio. David has coached multiple Lake Highlands teams since coming to Dallas, as well as participating with NTX coaching education staff and ODP identification. David holds a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma with Distinction and an USSF "Y" National Youth License. |

Coach of the
Year Honors for American Eagles Coach
The American Eagles coach, David Hoffmann has been Named Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year by the Association of Division 3 independents (AD3I)!!! David Hoffmann, who is the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of Dallas (UD), joined his athletes in being recognized by the AD3I as Coach of the Year. Hoffmann led the team to a school record in wins, an impressive 15-2-2 season, his fourth at the UD. Since his arrival from Schreiner University prior to the 2003 season, Hoffmann has compiled a 39-25-4 coaching record, good for a .602 percentage. Better yet is his record after his first recruiting class when juniors Mike Hasson, Jered Lee and Rob Burton to name a few joined UD. Since then he has gone 36-12-3 for a .705 winning percentage. Hoffmann is assisted by another American Eagles coach, Brian Byrd, who coaches the 93 Girls White team.
